Kris-Kras is our in-house delivery service that comes from the vision that a shopping experience doesn’t stop the moment you order something online. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
The initial application for Kris-Kras was recently built by an external consultant, you will take over and onboard it within the e-commerce team. You realize a company critical application, from design, development and testing to deployment and maintenance. In the end, you manage the entire domain of our in-house delivery service Kris-Kras. That is, you determine the delivery times based on capacity, routing of packages, track and trace, etc. You advise the business from a technical point of view.
The architecture is based on event sourcing with the Lagom framework and functional Java through the VAVR libraries. You initially work independently on this application, but within the e-commerce team, code reviews and knowledge sessions are part of our development culture. The ambition is to expand the Kris-Kras team in the (short) term.
Who are you?
- You have broad knowledge of both Frontend and Backend development.
- You have up-to-date knowledge of Java within a microservices environment.
- You have at least 4 years of experience as a Developer.
- You have an enterprising and proactive attitude, after all, you are going to pull the cart!
- You have experience with modern web development techniques.
- Experience with CI/CD piplines (Cirlce CI), Kubernetes and the Google Cloud platform is a plus.
- You have experience with functional programming or want to learn this quickly.
- You have experience with stakeholder management.
- Experience with Supply Chain management software such as SAP is a plus.
